Wellfleet MA
Wellfleet has a variety of beaches both salt water and fresh water. The ocean beaches include, Newcomb Hollow, Cahoon Hollow, White Crest, Maguire’s Landing, and a fifth beach operated by the National Seashore, Marconi. These beaches offer great body surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, and surfing.
The bay beaches offer amazing sunsets and warmer water. These include Indian Neck, Mayo Beach and Duck Harbor. Also Wellfleet's fresh water Kettle Ponds are a major attraction for families with young children and those wishing to kayak or canoe.
In town there is the Wellfleet Town Pier with commercial fishing fleet as well as numerous charter boats, sailboats, and motorized pleasure crafts. The center of town is a great location to walk around and look at the local art galleries, clothing stores, or jewelry shops. Have a bite to eat at the Beach Comber, located on Cahoon Hallow Beach, the Bookstore & Restaurant on Commercial St., or at Mac’s Seafood, located on the Town Pier.
